Flint Abortion Case

FLINT, Michigan — A teenager is accusing a Flint abortion doctor and his assistant of holding her down and covering her mouth as the doctor forced her to have an abortion after she screamed for them to stop.

Reading the story I wonder how tightly these procedures are watched by any medical review board. I may be woefully ignorant, but I would wager not at all. I also wonder how teens are barred from buying aerosol whipped cream but can have an abortion?

The More One Finds Out About the Ft Hood Shootings...

Fort Hood massacre suspect Nidal Malik Hasan sought to have some of his patients prosecuted for war crimes based on statements they made during psychiatric sessions with him, a captain who served on the base said Monday. Other psychiatrists complained to superiors that Hasan's actions violated doctor-patient confidentiality, Capt. Shannon Meehan told The Dallas Morning News. One day after the Nov. 5 attack that killed 13 and wounded 29, a Fort Hood official said she had never received complaints about Hasan's job performance. Col. Kimberly Kesling, deputy commander of clinical services at the base's Darnall Army Medical Center, also said he was a "hardworking, dedicated young man who gave great care to his patients."

When things go wrong in the military, they go REALLY wrong. There were signs which were ignored, there were superiors where were ignorant. About par for the course for the US Army lately.

"We love death more then you love life!"

A few things struck out with me when I heard of the shooting at Ft. Hood. One was it wasn't surprising that it was possible for such carnage on a military installation given the stringent controls on firearms and ammo. Though it lasted a few minutes, the shooting may have continued longer without quick action from police.

The second thing was if it was a Muslim, I felt it was 100% possibility this wasn't out of the blue for him. Of course, it was a Muslim, we know this now, but we also know now that the FBI and fellow Soldiers had "issues" with MAJ Hasan. Apathy, political correctness, and lobotomizing which the Army achieves through countless sensitivity training, produced this shooting, and this man.

At Ft. Benning, I helped in the training of over a thousand new privates. Privates were immediately kicked out of the service or started the process of having the tattoo removed had they had gang tattoos. Tattoos ranging from urban gangs such as Crips and Bloods, to white racists ones as KKK, to numerous Mexican gangs, were immediately seen as affiliation of gang activity. Now we learn that MAJ Hasan has advocated the cause of America's enemies, said beheadings were justified, and warned against Muslim Soldiers fighting back. And still no one did anything and this man was allowed to be a Major in the US Army espousing those views. One of his final slides stated: "We love death more then you love life!" (Perhaps not only did the Major not have a firm grasp on Islam, but English as well.)

Why if we would discharge a private for having a gang tattoo we would let a man such as this reach Major? I would say this perfectly illustrates one of the many problems of the US Army.

The question remains, Can Michigan sustain the loss of money in incentives until the revenue resulting in the diversification of the industry within the state begins to produce results?

I assume awarding the Nobel Peace Prizes is a lot like awarding a trophy for showing up: President Barack Obama wins Nobel Peace Prize

All this talk of Obama being a cross of Johnny Appleseed and Jesus is beyond the scope of comprehension for lowly mortal men. Just look at the peace he has brought to Afghanistan, and between Israel and Iran. Look at the peace on the streets of Chicago.

The safe money will be on Obama going down in history as two past "winners," Carter and Wilson.
